50 Shades of Blue Dining Room | Bayside, NY

Minty blue hues stream throughout the double ceiling dining room of this Bayside, Queens home. Tonal colors envelope the cathedral style room, carried from walls, to the window treatments, and rug, creating a holistic element. Our client enlisted Stevi Fourouli to give this space the House of Meraki flair. With a growing family, they wanted it to feel fun, inviting and fresh.

Starting with playful window treatments, the cascading geometric shapes were added to the custom drapes. Assisting to create a seamless wow factor, we color matched the base fabric to the Benjamin Moore paint on the walls. These sit on top of Hunter Douglas shades, which provide privacy from the close neighboring lot. Peaking out in between each pair of curtains are black geometric Arterior sconces.

To add some dimension to the blues, we selected this irregular, multi-colored Jaipur rug  contrasting against the Chevron white oak wood floors. With the help of these Sunpan pieces, the natural tones from the wood sideboard and dining table are perfectly  juxtaposed with the velvety teal dining chairs. Hanging in the center, the room is jeweled with a triplet of Murano Glass chandeliers from Sunpan, drawing your eye upward adding a touch of glam to the space.
